A beautiful bicycle trip
Adelaide is a very well-planned place, and one thing they have a lot of is bicycle trails. The best of them are by the river. It's unbelievable, but try to imagine: the Torrens River comes down from the mountains, through the city of Adelaide, and continues out to the ocean. Along the way, on both sides, it is almost all parkland. That means no houses, no factories, no nothing on the river itself, and you can ride your bicycle along it all day. We had a fabulous time. Just look at how pretty it is. Adelaide, we tip our hats to you.
A cable bridge over the river. It bounces as you cross.
Taking a break.
Along the way there are many public parks, all well-maintained and clean. We enjoyed this zip thing.
Check out this amazing slide! When you come to the bottom you can't stop rolling and you get covered in wood chips. Adelaide kids are really lucky.
A lovely spot for a picnic, except we didn't bring any food and had to go off the track looking for a restaurant (we eventually found a little Chinese place). Next time we will bring a picnic and play by the river in the shade. This bike trip was the day before we returned to Thailand, and it was a perfect way to remember Adelaide.
