In October 2001 we rented a van and took a small group of students on a tour to national parks and other interesting spots in Mae Hong Son and Chiang Mai provinces. It was an amazing trip, and for some of the students it was their first time out to see mountains and waterfalls, their first time hiking straight up to lookout points and through forests, and their first time being attacked by bloodsucking leeches. Considering their inexperience, they were great and really got the most out of the trip. We are proud of them.

There are ten pages of pictures here. You will not see one of the teachers, Christopher, because he took all of the pictures, and nobody else knew how to use his manual camera. These JPEG images are compressed a lot and still look great, but they may take a while to download due to their size. If you are patient you will be rewarded.
Ob Luang Bridge
We began our October 2001 English Camp by going north from Lampang and turning east after Lamphun to go to Ob Luang National Park. Here you can see what this park is mostly known for: Ob Luang Canyon. Notice the bridge going over it.

Crossing the bridge
Here is the bridge. We didn't trust it at all, so we didn't spend much time lollygagging around on it...

Here is what it looks like from the other side, on the hiking trail.
