Walking to the falls
After the temple we continued to A SECRET LOCATION WHICH WE WILL NOT REVEAL. We walked down a dirt path and came to a really fun SECRET local waterfall.

Playing in the water
It was really fun to jump around in the water. Some of the students had previous experience with Christopher in rivers, and thought it a matter of course that he should lead an expedition downriver. So off we went, scrambling over boulders in the rushing water, down to pool after pool, like Indiana Jones on holiday. Nobody wanted to stop and go back. Our student Korn wanted to continue all the way to Malaysia. But Christopher's adult alarm bells started to go off in his head, even though he wanted to keep exploring, too, so eventually we all turned back.

Making Khao Lam
The local people showed Kat (in the back wearing a baseball cap) how to make Khao Lam, which is sticky rice mixed with sugar any number of other things, usually a smattering of black beans, cooked over a fire in bamboo. When done right it's really good. Ours had pumpkin in it (Christopher's idea). It wasn't great because we didn't have enough sugar, but after playing in the water it sure tasted fine.

Cooking the Khao Lam
Here is the Khao Lam cooking, watched over by the little local girls. That one on the right is Prae. She's adorable. We wanted to kidnap her and take her to live with us here in Lampang.
